This Deccan-style Pichwai depicts the auspicious festival of Sharad Purnima where Lord Shrinath is shown as the center deity standing in between two Kadam trees, surrounded by his Gopis who are enjoying the Raas-Lila. The artist has painted a black sky illuminated with the moon and the stars. With a harmonious indulgence, he has depicted the blueness of Krishna’s skin illuminated against the black sky. He uses natural stone colors on cloth to create a voluminous effect.
